I was unsure about ripped jeans for a 5-year-old but these are done tastefully. The rips are small and the edges are finished cleanly, no raw threads. My son wears them with a bright-coloured graphic tee and sneakers for playdates and weekend outings. He gets compliments every time. The denim quality is good and the fit is comfortable with the elastic waist. Colour has held well.
