My son has sensitive skin and most denim is too rough for him. This one was softer straight out of the bag than I expected. After one wash it became even more comfortable. He wears it to school almost daily paired with a plain light-coloured t-shirt and his sports shoes. No irritation complaints, which is rare. The belt that comes with it is decent, not premium but functional. I would recommend sizing up by one if your child is on the taller side.
